HOW TO VOTE!

Different Ways to Vote:

The options outlined below assume the Annual/Special Meeting and the election will be held, as scheduled, on October 30, 2022 at 7:00 PM…

Option 1:

Attend the aNNUAL/sPECIAL mEETING AND VOTE in person oCTOBER 30, 2022

We are told that there is an Annual Meeting or a Special Meeting scheduled for 7:00 PM October 30, 2022. That meeting will be a Zoom meeting, as listed in an email dated September 29, 2022 from the Board President. Assuming we meet quorum at that meeting, Unit Owners can vote by proxy (if their proxies have been filed by 5:00 PM October 27), or if present at the meeting, they presumably can vote in person.

However, to date there has been little or no information on the actual virtual voting process via Zoom. This could lead to confusion, mistakes or errors.

The advisable solution is to get your ballot filled out as a Proxy ballot, and make sure you file it before 5:00 PM October 27, 2022 by email. See Option 2 or Option 3.

Option 2:

File (email) your filled out proxy/ ballot (you may still attend the meeting by zoom)

By filling out the ballot in advance, designating a proxy and emailing it by October 27, you ensure that your vote will be counted and that no errors or mistakes or technical glitches with Zoom interfere with your casting your vote.

Note that the proxy states: “Proxy holders must be present at the meeting to cast the directed ballot on behalf of the member.” If you select someone to act as your proxy, that person must be present (via Zoom) on October 30 to serve as your proxy.

If you do not designate a proxy, the meeting Chair (presumably Mr. Perry) will vote as you directed and restricted in your proxy.

Make sure you select up to, but no more than 5, candidates. The ballot clearly states that if more than 5 candidates are selected, the entire ballot will be invalidated. You may select fewer than 5 candidates. You may also not select any candidates, in which case your ballot will be used solely for quorum purposes.

oPTION 3:

FILL-OUT A BALLOT AND SIGN IT ELECTRONICally via docusign

Unit Owners for Change have made the ballot available for any unit owner to fill out, sign and transmit via DocuSign. This ballot will enable them to fill out their name, unit(s) address, select a proxy (if required) and record their votes. These ballots will be electronically transferred to the Association Counsel the moment they are signed.

When you DocuSign your ballot, you will receive a copy of the executed document. The Association Counsel will also receive a copy of the document.

Unit Owners for Change, via our Counsel, will confirm with the Association Counsel (Mr. Perry) that all DocuSigned ballots have been received prior to 5:00 PM October 27.
